We believe in the health and fun of our children. And we believe “Health” can be FUN, especially at the Vancouver USA “Kids Marathon” on June 15, 2013. Let your kids wear their favorite red, white and blue outfit for this great day! Prizes will go to the best dressed runner, and the kid with the most Energy~

KIDS VUM USA MARATHON:

Here’s the deal: Have you seen Mom or Dad run a Marathon? Or maybe brother or sister, or maybe you saw it on TV? And you said: “I want to do that! I want a medal too!” Well this is your chance to cross the finish line like all other adults. And, guess what? You get a medal too! (PLUS, a shirt and a race bib, and a timing chip)

On June 15th you are going to lace your shoes up for a 1.2 mile run. Leading up to Race Day, Mom & Dad need to help you get those other 25 miles in. Run a mile a day for 25 days, or break it up a bit, it’s up to you. Log your miles (here) with this special form, bring it to the VUM Active NW Sports and Fitness Show at the Vancouver Hilton, and turn it in for your Race Bib, and Timing Chip! Yes, you too are going to be timed like adults.

Race Costs:

$15 until April 30th, 2013
$20 May 1st through June 5th, 2013

KIDS USA "FUN" Run:

Maybe a Marathon isn’t your style??? No worries. We have the Kids USA “Fun” Run. The V.U.M Team wants to give the opportunity for all kids to run, and enjoy the festivities. You will run within in Esther Short Park and run along the path. It is a short distance, but still has all the glory! Ask Mom, Dad & Friends to cheer for you while you run. Tell them this is your Olympics . . . and you too, get a medal and race bib! To us, you ALL are winners!!
