Letter from the Race Director

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Boston, and to all the runners that trained very hard, plus all the other staff, security and spectators. I am shocked that this would happen to such a staple event for the running community. Our team will have discussions about tragic events and the '1, 2, 3' process, but that will come later. We know it is hard to predict these horrific events and I feel Boston did a great job of 'jumping into action' after the explosion. Again my heart goes out to everyone that was hurt and their families.
